Your family doctor
As your physician I will take the time to understand your individual medical needs. Salish Sea Medical has a quarter of the number of patients of a traditional primary care practice, allowing me to give prompt care and ample time to address your wellness and concerns. This is family medicine the way it should be. In addition to office visits, I will be available by phone, email and house calls to serve your medical needs.
An all-inclusive membership fee
My practice does not charge insurance. Instead, patients pay a subscription fee that covers all of their primary care services from me. People with any insurance can be patients of Salish Sea Medical, but we do not charge your insurance for our services.
After evaluating many approaches, I decided this model, called Direct Primary Care, is the best way I can offer the level of care and attention I want to give my patients.
Pricing
I value continuity of care with my patients and care of the whole family. A reduced rate is available when enrolling your whole household.
Rates are paid annually.
Family Rate
$6,775 annually
Includes 2 adults and 2 children. Each additional child living in the home is $89/month. Children involved in the family plan must be under 26 and reside in the home or be in at least half time education matriculation if living outside of the home.
Couple Rate
$4,627 annually ( for age 19-64 based on age of oldest member)
$5,630 annually ( for age 65+)
Individual Rates
Age 0-18 years: $2,153 annually without other enrolled adult
Age 19-41 years: $2,479 annually, without other enrolled adult
Age 42-64 years: $3247 annually
Age 65 and up: $3,385 annually
Fee details
Your membership fee covers all of my services, all of the time. No co-pays or hidden fees.
You may be able to use FSA/HRA dollars (Flexible Spending Account/Health Care Reimbursement Account). Check with your insurance to be sure.
What’s included in your membership
I will serve as your full-time family medicine physician and provide:
Timely appointments
Home visits when appropriate
Direct access to me by phone, text and email
A yearly wellness visit with a personal wellness plan developed with me to meet your health goals
Routine health care including chronic disease management
Mental health care for depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder
Referrals and care coordination with specialists, hospitals and emergency rooms near or far
Minor procedures such as laceration repair, skin biopsies, splinter removal, abscess drainage, cryotherapy, ear lavage, small joint injections and gynecologic procedures (Medications required for these procedures are included.)
Travel medicine services
Lifestyle and health adjustments
Menopause management and advice
Lactation support
Well child care
Electronic medical record access that communicates with local and national hospitals and health organizations
What’s not included
You and/or your insurance will pay for services I do not provide, such as:
• Hospitalizations, emergency room visits, radiology and EMS services
• Prescriptions
• Lab work
• Specialists
I provide high-quality referrals to the best medical services for specialty care.
Salish Sea Medical is not health insurance coverage. Direct Primary Care is not a health insurance plan, PPO or HMO plan, prepaid health plan, or substitute for health insurance. The membership fee is for the described healthcare services and it does not cover hospital, specialist, or services not directly provided by Salish Sea Medical. You are encouraged to maintain health insurance, which may or may not cover the cost of services that we do not provide.
